Nina and I became friends in Paris (1989) when we were both au-pairs. We were two Dutch girls away from home, sometimes it was hard and having Nina as a friend made it easier.

On the road to our au-pair addresses.
We spent a lot of time together, going by train to the family’s we worked for. They were neighbors so the children we had to take care of played together all the time. And when we didn’t have to work we would make all sort of trips around town and in one of those trips Nina was spotted by someone from a modeling agency and offered a job for a photoshoot. This went really well and she could do more modeling work.
I was so happy for her! Sometimes I was allowed to look backstage, it was really great to see how she had found her way in this special world.
I still don’t understand why at some point I stopped hearing from her. We were so close, we used to tell each other everything. I know that the modeling work went well, that’s why she stopped working as an au pair. Her life became a bit messy and irregular because of it and we didn’t see each other that often anymore.
The last thing I heard from her was that she mentioned ‘film people’ and ‘easy money’ and that was december 1992.
After that.......... nothing.
I don’t have many photos of her, when we just met we exchanged childhood photos and there is some footage of photoshoots and up to now there are 2 sightings in banlieues in 1993, I am really desperate, I want so much to see my friend again and know that she’s allright...
NOTE: False tips happen a lot. Still, I keep every email, every scrap, every rumor.
